The main production enterprises of Shanghai Huayi (Group) Company for new material are Shanghai 3F New Material Co., Ltd, Shanghai Chlorine-Alkali Chemical Industry Corporation of Shanghai Tianyuan Group, Shanghai Plastic Industrial Co., Ltd, Shanghai Chemical Plant Co., Ltd, Shanghai Synthetic Resin Research Institute and so on. All of them are Shanghai municipal high- and new-tech enterprises holding the certificate of ISO-9002 quality system. The engineering plastic with the brand of "Three Deer", the PVC cable insulating material with the brand of "Double Flower" and the PVC resin with the brand of "Shenfeng" have all won the title of "Shanghai Municipal Famous Product", especially the products with the brand of "Shenfeng" have been awarded the title of "Shanghai Municipal Famous Product" for five years in succession. Huayi Group will make investment in new plants jointly with foreign firms to produce PC, PMMA, isocyanates and other organic materials.
1. Organo-fluorine and Organo-silicon Materials
The products include poly(tetrafluoroethylene) fine powder and emulsion, dispersion and suspension of poly(tetrafluoroethylene), poly(vinylidene fluoride), poly(perfluoro- ethylenepropylene), poly(trifluoroethylene), fluororubber, tetrafluoropropylene rubber, fluorocarbon silicone rubber, silicone oil series, silicone rubber series, silicone resin series, silicone coupling agent series and so on, among which the production capacity and quality of the fluoroplastics with poly(perfluoroethylenepropylene) resin (FR46) as the main product rank the first in our country. New materials and technologies such as the production of perfluorosulfonic resin have been developed independently. The production equipments for poly(tetrafluoroethylene) and fluororubber with a 1000-tonnage capacity were established with our own independent intellectual properties, and they are now the largest fluoropolymer suppliers in our country. The quality of the products has reached advanced standards. A large amount of homemade fluoroplastics and fluororubbers are sold in world market and the domestic market occupation ratio of fluororubber reaches 60% or more.
2. Special New Material
The special new material includes long- and short-carbon chain polyamides as well as special polyamide series, organosilane crosslinked high density polyethylene plastic, polyimide film, polyimide molding powder, polyimide molded plastic, polysulfone, polytrifluorochloroethylene and other new materials. They exhibit different special properties including heat resistance, insulation and high toughness, and are suitable to be used under different extreme conditions. Among the above-mentioned, the engineering nylon with long-carbon chain, PDDA-180, is a new kind of advanced material independently developed by the Company. It is much more tougher than the present nylon, PA11 and PA12, and can meet the special requirements of the environment-friendly automobile and telecommunication materials. Organosilane crosslinked high density polyethylene is an advanced substitute for PVC insulating material. Polyimides with outstanding comprehensive properties are widely used in space navigation, electric engineering, instrumentation and petrochemical industry. The medical M-1000 PVC with extremely low VCM residue is a special material for making clinical products, such as disposable transfusion tube, bag and injector; and its quality comes up to the international standards.
3. Engineering Plastic Alloy
There are modified polyphenylene oxide, modified polycarbonate, modified polyformaldehyde, modified polypropylene, modified polyethylene, modified low-smoke halogen-free reinforced nylon, modified ABS and the like, which are widely used in the fields of automobile, electronics, communication, petrochemical industry, aviation and spaceflight.
4. Functional Material
There are mainly perfluorosulfonic resin, ion exchange resin, damping adhesive, electro-conductive adhesive and the like, which are used in the fields of water treatment, electronics and building material industry or as proton exchange membrane in fuel cell.
5. Other Materials
There are melamine plastic, phenolic molding powder, polyester resin, epoxy resin, amino resin, alkyd resin, acrylic resin, polyurethane resin, unsaturated polyester resin, perchlorvinyl resin, PVC, PET, PBT, celluloid and the like. With an annual output of 0.4 million ton, the production capacity ranks the first in our country. The production capacity of PVC under planning will reach 1 million ton/year.
